Baby Weeks photos and SNOW!

It has been a busy day! Nate was up early so he could join us for an ultrasound. If you were wondering what the baby's feet look like, now you know:
Baby Weeks is 19 weeks, 2 days old today. We didn't see much of the baby's face but it did yawn! It was breech at the beginning of the ultrasound but at the end had completely changed position and gave us a good view of it's little backside. And no, we didn't find out who it would be . . . boy or girl, we'll love either one :)
And here's a glimpse of the rest of the day . . .
Too chilly for Svea to be outside, but Viggo and I spent some time sledding down the tiny hill that goes into the neighbor's yard - still big enough to be a fun thrill for Viggo, though! We made a snowman, which was really a pile of snow that we spent a lot of time on, but it just didn't turn out . . . the carrot and sticks added some character, though. Viggo was loving it!
Viggo was so happy we finally have a decent amount of snow here he that he just laid in it. We got about 5" yesterday; Nate took a vacation day to play with Viggo in the snow. I would have had photos from yesterday, but all my camera batteries were dead. Svea was outside for about 15 minutes and that was all her skin could take - it was quickly chapped. She and Viggo sledded and she would scream, "READY!" when we would ask if everyone was all set to go. So fun to see her excitement!
When we came inside to warm up Viggo said he wanted to do some math. He's getting into double-digit answers and I caught him using his toes to count. "I ran out of fingers!"
Svea had to wear her froggy boots at dinner.
Once the camera appeared at mealtime, everyone felt the need to make funny faces!
Svea just loves it when Viggo is silly at the table :)
After dinner when she was out of the tub, Viggo had gone upstairs while we were still downstairs. Svea just started yelling, "VEE-GO! YAR YOU?" because she wanted to see him and play. Once she was in bed tonight, Viggo and I were reading when we heard her yell, "NIGH-NIGH MOMMY! NIGH-NIGH VEE-GO!" Nate and I have to admit she's no longer the quiet baby we once thought she was . . .

  1. I can just hear Svea calling for Viggo wanting to play...don't you just love how she is big enough that they can really interact and play? Amazing! What a sweet little family, I heard y'all were getting a bunch of snow the other day out there, and wondered just how much. I hope you are feeling good tonight.

  2. The cutest ten toesies I ever did see!! And, they clearly belong to your family (thanks, Viggo, for providing the comparison foot)... Baby too will need all ten digits for math homework soon enough (:
