Jerusalem Marketplace

Guess where we went last weekend?
Jerusalem!
Conveniently located in Rockford, IL at First Covenant Church. First Cov holds Jerusalem Marketplace on the day before Easter, and I hope that this will continue to be an annual tradition. There are costumes, food, animals, tons of crafts - all to help kids gain some knowledge of what it was like to live where (and when) Jesus lived. Pretty fun!

Once outfitted, the kids took a long walk all the way down the hall and around the corner to Jerusalem.

I think Svea liked wearing her little tunic.

There were bunnies.

Bowls of beads.

Banging hammers.

Barnyard friends.

Bodaciously awesome crafts.

And a baby sheep named Cinderella.

It was so fun, two hours was not enough time to do everything. We loved it - and so did everybody else in Rockford, it was PACKED. Thanks, First Cov!
