My dad retired!!
We had a party and this cake came all the way from MN to IL to celebrate. I guess they don't make cakes like this in Illinois.
Now that Dad is retired, what will he do with all his spare time?
Babysit all those grandchildren. Right, Dad?
Congratulations again, Dad!
Svea also had her moment in the spotlight - she graduated from preschool last week!
She was an apple for the spring program.
She could not handle the attention and tried to avoid the audience by ducking.
Eventually she got into it when there were songs with motions.
She also got to tell a joke with the microphone. Whoa!
Cutest apple, ever.
Viggo sat with us and watched, and this over-the-top adorable little girl came toddling over to see him. We have watched this sweet little baby grow up a lot during this school year, due to dropping Svea off twice a week at school, because this little one has a big sister at preschool too. Viggo adores her was always excited to see her and play with her in the hallway while we waited for Svea to finish class. So now when "Splits" (Viggo's nickname for the baby) sees Viggo, she gets a huge smile on her face.
It's a mutual thing. Viggo loves her.
Svea got a little cap and diploma. Wow.
She did such a great job this year! Svea, we are so proud of you!
So now Svea sucks her lips in when she smiles for photos. It's kind of annoying. And as you can see, she influences her peers to do the same thing. She really does have lips, I promise.
Yep. But even lipless, she is cute. And wow, she's really tall too.
Daddy came from work to be at the program.
Svea was thrilled!
Svea had such a fantastic teacher. We are so thankful for such a great preschool experience for Svea.
Yes, we are definitely ready for summer!
