Due to the fact that I have simply been overwhelmed with life for the past few months, blogging has taken a little vacation. So let's get back to business (:
We celebrated Svea's birthday this spring a day or so early, with monkey bread (what else?) for breakfast.
Since we were going to be in Florida on her birthday, we did some pre-celebratory activities at home.
Svea is a gift-giver by nature. Giving and receiving gifts is a big deal for her, and she loved every special gift given and sent from special people!
This doll. That we've been hearing about for months. Harriett was long-desired and instantly treasured.
Presents were immediately played, crafted, or ridden on. Thank you to everyone who remembered Svea on her 7th birthday!
The night before we left for Florida, we had friends over to share Svea's requested birthday dessert, ice cream cake.
In honor of Svea's special day, Elin gave a show featuring the Frozen song "Let it Go".
Friends have long filled in for family since we don't have any relatives nearby, and we are forever grateful for the amazing people in our lives that make things like birthdays that much more special.
Svea, you are such a blessing and we love you like crazy!! Thanks for sharing your cake (:
