We take Josh to Longwood Gardens

We had an exciting day today.
Josh came to visit us!
So we took him to Longwood Gardens.

It was fun going there. I love Longwood Gardens . . . it's been a wonderful oasis of peace while we're been out here on the East coast. But at the same time, I wasn't sorry to say goodbye to it. Because it means we're going home.

And it was so much fun to share our last time there with Josh!
Here, we are feeding those nasty catfish. They are the one ugly thing at Longwood.

Nate and Josh went to Wash U. together.
They're really smart.
Combined, their brain cells way outnumber mine by the trillions.
You probably already knew that though.

We saw the bees.

Svea warmed up to Josh pretty quick.
She had all sorts of important things to tell him.

We walked through the tree houses.

We saw the lily pads.

They're one of Viggo's favorite things to see in the summertime.

We booked it through that place and covered a lot of ground today.

Venus Flytraps.

Svea . . . not quite sure what was going on here.

More Venus Flytraps.

I'm not sure what these mircoscopic fern-like things are, but they are so neat.

We went to the Imagination Garden and got wet.

Queen Bee.

King Bee.
King bees don't exist in nature but they do in our little world. :)

I am not the Queen. Just happy to be with my big girl!

Elin loved the fountain.

She was just delighted it existed there to please her.

No nap . . . but slap-happy.

We made poor Josh walk all over the place.
Svea was curious about Josh. Today she asked me, "Where is his mother?"
I said, "Somewhere in Wisconsin, honey."
Svea said, "Is she okay?"
I said, "I'm sure she's fine."
That must have been a reasonable answer because that was the end of that.

Elin is walking around now.

I keep forgetting she knows how to do that, so I can never seem to remember that she should probaby be wearing shoes.

We came back home and played Cootie.

Thanks so much for coming to see us, Josh! You made our day :)
