Lacrosstitch and shopping around the world.

Today Elin dragged out the lacrosse stuff.

I play sports with really athletic people.

Little athletes . . . in pretty dresses.

Watching the girls attempt to play their own version of lacrosse all dressed up felt like a weird combination of Little House on the Prairie and a Victorian gym class.

They yelled when they swung their sticks. (Are the lacrosse sticks called "sticks"?)

My favorite part was when Svea would heave the stick to toss the ball and she would loudly yell, "LACROSSTITCH!"

That's right. Lacrosse-stitch.

Seriously, if you did not hear her bellow "LACROSSTITCH!" repeatedly, you missed out.

Nate brought the big kids to the bank this afternoon, and the tellers there know Viggo is a coin collector. So today, his favorite teller had set aside an envelope of foreign coins for him!

The Teller of the Year, as far as I'm concerned. What a nice guy!!

Coins were found from the following places: Cayman Islands, Mexico, Sweden, Bahamas, East Caribbean States, Australia, France, Argentina, New Zealand, Spain, Israel, Canada, England, Norway, Korea, and also a few euros, but of course we can't be sure which countries those came out of.

A duck-billed platypus is on a coin from Australia. For real.

Svea was amazed. She recently declared she wanted a duck-billed platypus for a pet. (Viggo let her have this coin.)

Then Nate and Viggo hit the internet to find out what all these coins were worth. Turns out they can buy a stick of gum or a candy bar in most of these countries, but with those euros, perhaps a nice pastry at a sidewalk cafe in Paris.
