At long last - we have pets.
Viggo spent just about every penny he had today on goodies from the pet store. Hermit crabs!
The kids have been itching to have a pet, and I have not. I specified a) it must not require going to the vet and b) I will not. do. a. single. thing. to. take. care. of. it. So they had to work around those specifications.
He and Nate were gone for quite some time and when they came home they had pretty much everything needed to create the perfect haven for Viggo's little pets.
Elin was napping when they came home, so when she woke up to all the excitement she seemed a little dubious about what had been going on while she was sleeping.
Viggo is now an official hermit crab expert. He is brimming over with facts about hermit crabs, so if you have any questions, please do give us a call. Yesterday I knew nothing about hermit crabs. Today, I know everything and more. You learn something new every day, especially when you live with Viggo.
I just love that I captured Elin's massive yawn. Also, she warmed up to the hermit crabs pretty quick. Five minutes after waking up, she was telling me, "Mommy, I wuv dem!"
Once snug inside their new home, Hermie and Shermie were stalked by little people.
Every time they moved . . .
. . . we all heard about it.
Hermie is the one on the left inside the log-thing. Shermie is on the right, nestled inside. I think.
They were moved into Viggo's room and fit perfectly on the top of his desk.
Viggo is so proud of his new pets. It is so fun to see his enthusiasm!

Sweet Viggo! I hope everyone enjoys his new pets! All the pictures are adorable, Marlene. Our little ones are saving up money for fish. I do not do fish. Maybe, I can get them to do crabs instead. I would be indebt to you if they do! ;)
