96 days

Viggo and I made a paper chain today to count down to when the baby is born. If the little one comes on his or her due date, it will be 96 days from today! Here's what 96 strips of paper look like:

Viggo had a good time making this. And it was a great way to occupy almost the entire afternoon!
He did a great job.

After the paper chain was completed, we made a giant cookie. The recipe came from the children's picture book, "Wild Boars Cook" (which is very funny). Unfortunately the editors missed editing the recipe; it called for either too much butter or not enough flour. The cookie dough literally ran off the edges of the baking surface onto the bottom of the oven, where it promptly burned. Now our house smells like burnt sugar. At least Svea had fun putting M&Ms on top :) Scraping out the bottom of the oven: not so fun.

Svea and Viggo got their Disney t-shirts from Aunt Connie and Uncle Fred for Easter. Whenever it is clean, Svea wears hers. She adores it. (Viggo loves his too, but he hasn't asked to sleep with it yet.)

In other news not pictured: Viggo is losing his second tooth. The tooth that is coming in is way back in his gums, off to the side. It looks pretty wacky. Nate reminded me he had his first retainer when he was in second grade. I reminded Nate I never, ever had a retainer. Apparently Viggo will not be as lucky as I! We are preparing ourselves for major orthodontia in the near future.
