The stuff we make . . .

Viggo and Nate have been disappearing into the basement the past few nights. They are creating a doll crib for Svea's baby dolls as a gift for her SECOND birthday that is coming up in a few weeks. (Is it possible she's nearly two already?!) Viggo is really excited to surprise Svea with the sure-to-be gorgeous crib, and I will do my part and sew some blankets and a pillow for it, although let's face it: Nate is a much better seamstress than I am. We are excited to see her reaction to it all! Although Svea insists on sleeping with her baby dolls in her own crib, so we'll see how that goes . . . stay tuned for more photos of the crib!

And in the category of Useless Things To Knit, Viggo and I finished Viggo's blueberry muffin yesterday. Working on it went on hiatus for a couple weeks until I finally found the right size plastic cup to put into the base. It's bigger than I thought it would turn out. Viggo helped stuff it and let me know what type of blueberries he preferred (French knots trumped the satin-stitched kind). Next knitting-in-the-car-when-I'm waiting project: a cupcake for Svea.

  2. Creativity just flows out of you guys! Can't wait to see the cupcake and crib, and yes, it is hard to believe that Svea will be TWO!
