Packing. A lot of that is going on around here right now.

If you've moved before, a roll of bubble wrap is a familiar sight.

We have a new, lower standard of living. If it comes in a box, bag or can, that's what we eat. At the beginning of the summer, I bought 8 packages of hot dogs because I got them for a rock-bottom price.
"What a bargain! We'll be able to eat these all summer and into the fall!" Because I mean, it usually takes a while to eat 64 hot dogs, even for us. Now I think we have two packages left. Our meals have been less than gourmet. Plus we were all sick last week and I had two root canals. I can't say I was highly motivated to make real food.

Nate has been a packing machine.

Cleanliness takes awhile. Pack or clean?
What would you do?

It is getting a little difficult to navigate around here.

So we're moving in ten days and not really feeling tidy.
I just looked at this picture closely and noticed there's a covered measuring cup on the shoe rack.
That's not where I usually store my measuring cups.
I just wanted to let you know that.
I am looking at the TV right now and I can see a box of Q-tips sitting there. So you can clean out your ears and watch TV at the same time.
We're all about convenience here.

Piles of stuff. Need any stuff?

What about this stuff? Need any other stuff?

Svea's got the right idea.
If I could fall asleep now and wake up in Minnesota, that would be so much easier.
I have to go and pack more stuff now.
The joys of moving! I remember it all too well.....except I had only 1 little one to keep track of amidst the boxes...not 3! Thinking of you often right now and hoping all is going well! Love the pic of Svea sleeping....hope all of you are doing some of that!!!
ReplyDeleteI was laughing out loud while reading this post. And you're right - my house is not quite as crazy looking as your is :) Keep filling up those boxes and we'll see you in less than 2 weeks!!!!
