This morning the girls and I kissed
Viggo good-bye and he headed off to the bus stop. I shut the door behind him and headed back to the kitchen for round 2 of breakfast for
Elin.
Suddenly the door opened and I heard
Viggo say,
"Mom, come outside! Hurry!"I immediately panicked.
Maybe he missed the bus.
Maybe one of the neighbor kids got hit by a car.
Maybe their was a rabid dog prowling in the street.
Maybe the house next door was on fire.
Maybe there was something dreadful happening that I had no power or control over.
I had all these thoughts at exactly the same time, in about a quarter of a second. I am gifted with an overactive imagination.
I threw on my boots and rushed outside to find this:
Viggo didn't want me to miss the sunrise. What a blessing and beautiful way to start the weekend!
