Field trip
Today felt like a good day for an outing, so I took Viggo and Svea to Delaware's Museum of Natural History.
The butterflies . . . my favorite. They didn't move and were small, so not a big draw for the kids.
Svea loved the jaguar. "Awww! Nice." If it's big, scary, and has teeth it MUST be cuddle-worthy!
Svea kept saying, "Hug. Kiss!" at the bears, which I think would look pretty fierce to most almost-2-year-old kids. She wasn't frightened at all. She also thought they were wearing mittens and needed their nails trimmed.
If only we could have taken them home . . .

Wow...I REALLY need to take my girls to this museum. We live so close and have not been there yet...Crazy I know. I am so glad that you all had such a nice time there.
ReplyDeleteIt is TINY though! You can breeze through there in 45 minutes or less, so bring a snack to eat in the little cafe area if you are hoping to kill some time :) Once it warms up you can hike through the woods, though. Viggo can't wait for that!
ReplyDeleteoh that is so cool- I love those bugs! What a wonderful outing with mommy!
ReplyDeleteps. Jeff says he has no idea why we post as jeff_webmaster. I think it is hilarious. I think I may start to call him webmaster.
ReplyDeletelove, erica
Seriously I got the giggles at the thought of calling ANYBODY "webmaster" . . . LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous museum! The Backyard Monsters alone look like they're worth going for. What fun (:
