A good start to September

We have been keeping busy these last few days of summer.

Viggo and Svea have been baking lots of cookies. I am loving the island in the kitchen; it gives the kids more elbow room and has considerably lessened the shoving and arguing while baking.

Elin supervises.

In case you were running out of ideas of what to do with your bumper crop of cucumbers from the garden, here's a useful one.

That door on the oven! SO exciting!

Lots of cute photos of Elin are in this post! Prepare for cuteness.

More baking. More cookies.

Elin now strolls around with confidence. Days of crawling are ancient history.

She's still my baby though.

Nate, the world's most wonderful husband, put a garbage disposal in a couple days ago. I sort of overlooked the fact that one wasn't there when we were looking at the house. So the first few weeks were messy, drippy ones of me commuting yucky stuff over to the garbage can. While I was happy to accept no garbage disposal as my lot in life, Nate put one in. He's so nice.

He had a little helper too.

You should hear Elin scream. If you come visit, bring ear protection.

I can almost hear the screeching! Does she ever have a powerful set of lungs :)

Daddy is so silly!

Viggo casts off the deck.

So did Svea. Nothing was biting though.
Next post: we visit Lake Beauty!
