She didn't make a peep when her old cast was "sawed" off. She did great with no panicking. Later she whispered to me, "Mama, it tickled." I have to admit, I was worried they would have to sedate her. She didn't like getting her teeth cleaned a couple months ago, so when the nurse approached her today with the tool to cut the cast apart, I was . . . holding my breath.
Svea choose a new tie-dye pattern. I was thinking, this would make a pretty cool canoe. You could make a canoe out of this cast stuff. Nate agreed. Perhaps that's our next project . . .
Svea also told me that when I broke my leg, I could get the tie-dye color too. Thank goodness for that.
Other than teaching her knee how to bend again - we told her it's been on vacation and needs to get used to being back to full-time work - she is doing just fine.
