So we've been outside enjoying the sunshine. Walks, the park, biking, and whatever the kids can drag out onto the deck.Svea loves to play Jenga, so we brought that out on the deck too.
Viggo has been doing some of hiw work outside.I was so busy thinking about how to keep the sun out of his eyes, I forgot to remind him to put sunscreen on - it didn't occur to me that sunburns can happen in March. Whoops. He was a little pink a few hours later.
Svea has some great Jenga techniques and is so fun to play with! She is very encouraging and always tells me I do such a good job.
Elin woke up from her nap, came out on the deck, and then held her hands over her eyes. It was really bright out!
At long last, we assembled the Wee Enchanted Garden. The kids and I painted it and put it together. There were not enough rocks (according to Svea), so we found a couple more to paint and add. Everyone got such a kick out of it! Viggo: "Mom, this is the coolest thing ever. I wish I had a Wee Enchanted Garden."I told him he'd better start saving a wee bit of cash to buy his own.
Viggo has been glued to the pages of Brain Jacques' Redwall books. I read some of the Redwall series, although now there are more of them. I loved them. Both Viggo and I were both scandalized to find out that not only had Nate never read them as a kid, he had never even heard of them.
That is a crying shame.
