Llamas at the llibrary. And what John the Baptist ate.

We went to the library last week to meet somebody special.
This is Bucky.

The library was having a Llama Llama event with story time, dramas, crafts, snacks, a firetruck, and of course, llamas.
Everyone who attended was encouraged to wear their pj's!

We met up with some friends of ours so we could all hang out with the llamas together.

One of the crafts was color a llama-on-a-stick, complete with a page of take-home outfits so you could dress your llama.

 Llama photo-ops.

There was a llama drama.

And a llama rap.

Story time with one of the lovely librarians.
Can I just say, I love our library and I am so thankful for it.
The library is almost as awesome as the wonderful librarians who work there!  The kids and I always look forward to our weekly visit.

And in other news . . .
Svea had a check-up and she is taller and skinnier than average (surprise).   She is modeling the patch she wore over her eyes for her vision screening.

Viggo made locusts out of Vienna sausages for history.

We were doing an authentic reenactment of John the Baptist.  But I'm pretty sure the locusts Mr. Baptist snacked on were not made out of Vienna sausages.  I have never before purchased Vienna sausages, and I wasn't even sure what they were or how they were packaged.  To me, they sound like something an old bachelor would buy.  I didn't even know where to find them in the grocery store.  (Hint: look for Spam and other canned meats . . . )

Everyone tried one.

Except me.  I'm sure they were, ah, interesting!

And finally, a funny book recommendation from Viggo and Svea:  Basil and the Pygmy Cats by Eve Titus.

Happy Wednesday!
