Viggo is 6!

I know Viggo's birthday was a couple days ago but it's taken that long for me to recover so I can blog about it.

My sweet little baby boy is now six years old. Wow!

Nate suggested we take the old man to Chuck E. Cheese.

And I just barely survived.

Pop.

Table hockey.

Horsey rides.

Games, games, games!

Pizza.

We weren't the only people there. The rest of Delaware was packed into that place as well. Noise, music, flashing lights, scads of kids . . . After we got home and I felt like I could breathe again, I noticed there were hives all over my hands. Now I'm convinced that I'm getting hives from anxiety. And believe me, I will go back to Chuck E. Cheese's again only if I am heavily medicated. That place was a nut house. Nate said, "It's sensory overload." It was . . . but apparently I was the only one that truly experienced a true overload. Never again.

At least I can say I went there out of love for Viggo. I would do anything for him!

Whew! Back home for some chocolate peanut-butter birthday cake! I know, I know - I didn't make this. I'm sorry. We just got back at 5:30 that morning from the 21.5-hour-car-ride, remember? The fact that we were even awake was noteworthy enough.

Our kids always look forward to getting their traditional birthday balloon :)

Svea loved the balloon, the cake, the presents . . . and maybe even thought for a moment or two, that this was all for her.

Presents!

The perfect books for the V-Man: Mr. Bump and Mr. Tall. Thanks, Meme, Bo & Co.!

There was a slew of Legos, but I was looking forward to getting something a little different for him: a labyrinth. It was a hit :)

Viggo got a few phone calls from some loving family members! He said, "I just can't believe it! Every time the phone rings, someone is singing at me!" He thought all the birthday singing via phone was a hoot!

We are so proud of Viggo. He is such a great kid. He is a super big brother! He is in kindergarten and loves it! He is Nate's football and hockey buddy and is my kitchen helper. And he is funny and cute as a button. We love you, Viggo! We pray that God will bless you SO much this year!
